Daniel Won, CPA, MBA

Daniel Won has over twenty-five years experience in public accounting covering both tax and audit engagements in numerous industry sectors. He has particular experience with hedge funds, private equity / venture capital funds, and investment advisors, on which he consults in all aspects from formation and operations to regulation and dissolution. His specialized experience also includes services to U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese companies, as well as to estates, trusts, and private foundations.

Before merging his practice with ACSB in 2010 to form ACSB-California, he was a partner of Bertorelli Gandi Won & Behti (dissolved in 2010), heading up its financial services practice. Prior to that, he was with Spicer & Oppenheim, an international CPA firm (dissolved in 1991) specializing in the hedge fund industry.

Daniel is Managing Partner of the ACSB & Company, LLP San Francisco office. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs as well as the California Society of CPAs. Daniel holds an MBA degree from California State University East Bay, has served as an adjunct professor for the University of California at Berkeley and is an alumni of Price Waterhouse where he attained his CPA certification.

Daniel's outside activities include teaching first aid and CPR for the American Red Cross, being treasurer of the College Preparatory School parents' association (Oakland), practicing and training in Tae Kwon Do at Hwa Rang Kwan (San Francisco), and being docent for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Polina Tsikman, CPA, MBA

For the past 5 years Polina was a principal at BGT Fund Administration, where she provided services to investment partnerships, hedge funds, offshore funds, private equity funds, investment advisers and high net worth individuals. She also acted as an outsourced Chief Financial Officer for some of the clients.

Polina is Partner in Charge of the ACSB & Company, LLP Los Angeles office. Her concentration in financial services comes with years of experience. She served as Chief Financial Officer at a California based Hedge Fund and worked at a Beverly Hills office of the national CPA firm - Rothstein Kass, where she was in charge of audits and regulatory reporting for financial industry clients as well as for the high net worth individuals. Prior to that she worked at a local CPA firm, concentrating on the audits of pension plans and tax and accounting for small businesses.

Polina holds Masters Degree in Management Information Systems and is a member of California Society of Certified Public Accountants, 100 Women in Hedge Funds and various other charitable organizations.
